Many go Round

Our products are contemporary furniture made of plastic and wood that can be used in a limited space, but are functional.”

Horizon Thailand talks to Vorasit Sangsiri, Managing Director of Many Many Co. Ltd., which owns Many-go-Round, a small-but-niche furniture brand.

Could you tell us the story behind Many-go-Round?

Many-go-Round started when a group of friends decided to create a furniture brand for urban people who mostly live in limited spaces. One of our partners had a family business that owned a plastic factory and another one had a wood factory, so we combined the two to create Many-go-Round furniture. We took the used plastic molds and turned them into plastic furniture combined with wood pulp. Our brand is three years old now.

What makes your products special?

Our products are contemporary furniture made of plastic and wood that can be used in a limited space, but are functional.

Who are your potential customers?

Our target is urban people who live in limited areas such as town homes, condominiums or even co-working spaces. Our customers are 70% Thai and 30% overseas from Taiwan, Hong Kong, China (Shanghai), Japan, Singapore and South Korea. We received all our foreign clients from attending DITP events.

Have you won any awards?

We won both Demark from DITP and G-mark from Japan for the Many-Go-Round Collection, which consists of three pieces, namely Box, Layer Side and Layer Table. Most importantly, the pieces are created from used plastic molds and wood pulp. This reduces the use of plastic by up to 30%. It’s good for sustainable design.

What is the future for Many-go-Round?

We want to develop more product lines and find new ways of using them to meet the needs of people’s lifestyle. Then, we want to expand into international markets. In my opinion, small and unique brands will have greater market opportunities, because the market is open to more niche players. The way to do business is to find channels to fit the business itself.

What support have you received from the DITP?

The DITP supports Thai entrepreneurs. We are very fortunate to receive much advice as well as the opportunity to join both domestic and international events, such as the Milan Fair in Italy. We try to make the most of all opportunities and we would suggest other entrepreneurs try the DITP. It is a short cut to grow your business.
