The Ministry of Commerce has signed a MoU with Japan’s Wakayama administrator, aimed at boosting Thai SMEs and supporting them to expand their businesses on both the global market and second-tier cities in Japan.
Wakayama Governor, Yoshinobu Nisaka along with 19 key Wakayama enterprises, participated in a business networking activity as well as the MoU signing ceremony at Okura Prestige Hotel in Bangkok from May 27 to 28.
“This activity allows entrepreneurs to explore potential trade and investment opportunities between the two countries,” Boonyarit Kalayanamit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, said.
The DITP plans to take Thai entrepreneurs to visit Wakayama, as well as consider further trade cooperation with other potential prefectures in Japan.
