THAIFEX-World of Food Asia enhances the trade fair experience for businesses while putting innovation at the forefront at Asia’s leading F&B show.

THAIFEX-World of Food Asia is returning for its 16th edition from May 28 to June 1, 2019 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok, Thailand. The fair is jointly organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Koelnmesse.

The Asia Pacific region is now seeing a surge in the number of middle class families, leading to greater overall consumption. According to a research by Euromonitor International, disposable incomes in Asia Pacific are projected to grow by 78% from 2017 to 2030, which will propel the region to become the world’s largest food and beverage (F&B) consumer by 2030.

This year, Thailand holds the chair of ASEAN, marking a special edition of the THAIFEX-World of Food Asia.

“With the theme of ‘Advancing Partnership for Sustainability’ for our ASEAN Chairing this year, we hope that ThaiFEX-World of Food Asia and all its programmes will serve as a key platform to strengthen connectivity and partnerships between local, regional and international F&B players to drive sustainable growth in the industry,” DITP Director-General, Banjongjitt Angsusingh, says.

The Director-General adds that the DITP will invite entrepreneurs who have developed innovative products and creative solutions in response to the latest future trends in S-Curve industry, particularly, food for the future, to the show.

Highlights at this edition of ThaiFEX include the Startup Pavilion, which brings together the best young and innovative companies showcasing innovative solutions, including drone F&B delivery to augment and improve foodservice and customer experience; the Tech Pavilion, a platform created to showcase new food technology ideas and solutions; the THAIFEXtaste Innovation Show, which features a curation of top regional and international products; and the internationally-acclaimed Thailand Ultimate Chef Challenge with a focus on Asian Cuisine this year.

Moreover, the trade show will feature new programmes and experiences to equip visitors for the future of the industry, along with enhanced buyer programmes and VIP services to further strengthen the show’s focus on quality business and trade.

The organisers add that ThaiFEX will see 2,700 exhibitors from more than 40 countries with new country entrants for the year including Australia, Brazil, Columbia, Poland, Spain, Sri Lanka and the United States.
