The DITP and Thailand-India Business Council jointly hosted Hospitality & Construction Materials Seminar & Business Networking Event in Mumbai, India on May 20.

More than 130 Thai and Indian entrepreneurs in the real estate, hospitality, construction and infrastructure sectors attended the event.

“There are a lot of opportunities in India for Thai entrepreneurs as the Indian government is developing infrastructure to support its Make in India and Smart Cities policies to attract foreign investors,” DITP Deputy Director-General, Phusit Ratanakul Sereroengrit, said.

At the event, the DITP signed a MoU with the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) to promote co-development of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and solve the trade dispute between Thai and Indian businessmen.

The Department also signed another MoU with the World Trade Centre Mumbai to exchange information and strengthen trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.
