STYLE Bangkok April 2019 generated more than US$68.64 million (2.2 billion baht) in business, tripling sales recorded at the October 2018 fair, and attracted more than 45,000 visitors, DITP Director-General, Banjongjitt Angsusingh, said on April 23.
Held from April 17 to 21 at BITEC, Bangna, STYLE Bangkok featured over 800 lifestyle-product exhibitors from Thailand and overseas in 1,650 booths. The top five nations and regions in terms of visitors to the fair were: Taiwan, China, Japan, the US and Vietnam, respectively.
“Several products such as rice straw paper, clocks made from elephant dung, natural dyed fabrics and bioware food containers in the Innovation and Design Zone (IDZ) drew much attention from buyers, and generated more than 10 million baht of sales in total,” Angsusingh added.
