The DITP is encouraging Thai exporters to explore business opportunities in Nordic countries, where the demand for healthy and eco-friendly products has increased in recent years, according to a press release on July 7.
“Several organic agricultural products are in demand such as organic rice, organic coconut oil, spices, herbs and superfoods,” DITP Director-General, Banjongjitt Angsusingh, said. “Organic agricultural products with standard certification from Nordic countries have a better market opportunity and gain higher trust from the consumers, compared with uncertified ones.”
In 2020, the DITP will coordinate with the embassies of Nordic countries in Thailand to organise seminars to assist Thai entrepreneurs to expand their businesses and investment in Nordic countries.
