DITP’s Bold Move: Thai Health & Wellness and Franchise Revolutionise Philippine Market
The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) is set to embark on a significant trade mission to the Philippines, targeting the health and wellness, and franchise industries. Scheduled from July 30th to August 3rd, 2023, this business delegation aims to promote Thai brands and foster trade relationships between Thai and Filipino enterprises.
The event, to be held in the Metropolitan Manila Area, will focus on two key product categories: cosmetics, personal care and medicine products; and trade services. The DITP has invited 20 Thai trade representatives to participate, thus offering them a platform to explore the potential of expansion into the Philippine market. Participants will engage with government agencies and industry associations to gain insights into the local health and wellness, and franchise landscape, including consumer behaviour, market conditions and business strategies.
To cater to the needs of the Thai health and wellness, and franchise representatives, the DITP has planned various activities. Informative sessions will share market trends and consumer insights specific to the Filipino market, while trade negotiations and business-matching sessions will facilitate collaborations and partnerships between Thai and Filipino businesses.
In parallel with the trade delegation, participants will have the opportunity to visit the WOFEX exhibition at the SMX Convention Center and World Trade Center. This exhibition will expose Thai companies to the Philippine market, providing a platform to showcase their offerings and connect with potential buyers and distributors.
The DITP’s strategic trade mission aims to support Thai health and wellness, and franchise businesses in expanding globally, fostering trade negotiations and business relationships. Through market research, networking and trade negotiations, this mission strengthens ties between the two countries and empowers Thai enterprises in their international ventures. This initiative aligns with the DITP’s mission to support Thai businesses and drive economic development.
