The DITP has set up three key strategies to assist Thai businesses explore markets in ASEAN countries in the second half of 2019.

The strategies are: strengthening business networking, with businesses relocating from China to ASEAN countries and other public and private sectors in ASEAN countries; boosting Thai investment in the ASEAN region, particularly in CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam); and penetrating second-tier cities, including, Davao in the Philippines, Siem Reap in Cambodia, Surabaya in Indonesia, Mandalay in Myanmar and Sarawak in Malaysia.

“We will promote Thai products and services through online and offline channels. The DITP will also organise several trade missions to our target markets, such as the Philippines, Malaysia and Myanmar,” DITP Director-General, Banjongjitt Angsusingh, said on June 26.
