The DITP, and the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organisation), or GIT, jointly hosted a press conference to launch the 67th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair (BGJF), which will take place from September 7 to 11 at Challenger Hall 1-3, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani.
After a pause of almost two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the first full-scale physical event will have more than 800 exhibitors and over 1,800 booths. It is expected to draw at least 10,000 visitors and generate revenue in excess of US$33.21 million (1,200 million baht).
From January to June 2022, Thailand exported US$3,884.21 million worth of gems and jewellery products (excluding gold), an increase of 40.96% compared with the same period in 2021. Total exports for 2022 are expected to reach US$7,392.49 million, an increase of 20%.
